The Settlement Dining Table is a testament to handcrafted workmanship; a timeless piece that seamlessly complements both traditional and modern décor. Its beautifully turned legs features the aged appearance of reclaimed marine teak, adding a touch of rustic charm while maintaining an air of sophistication.

This generously sized dining table is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, designed to add character and warmth to any dining space. Its classic design is versatile, allowing it to fit comfortably in a range of settings, from contemporary to country-inspired.

The Settlement Dining Table brings together the best of tradition and modern versatility, making it an ideal centrepiece focal point in any dining space.

The teak used to craft the Settlement Dining Table is sourced from fishing boats once navigated by Sulawesi fishermen across remote Indonesian islands. These teak boats, known for their exceptional hardness and resistance to harsh southern ocean conditions, have been in service for up to 50 years before being retired.

Each board used in the table's top has a unique history as part of these fishing boats. Weathered by age and the elements, the rough-hewn planks are hand-selected, planed, and lightly sanded, yet retain their natural character. The result is a table that is truly one-of-a-kind, reflecting authenticity in every detail.

Available in two lengths:

  • W 100cm | D 240cm |  H 76cm
  • W 100cm | D 300cm |  H 76cm

Handcrafted from reclaimed teak boat timber.

The reclaimed teak features distinctive nicks, splits, cracks, knots, nail holes, patches, and other marks that tell the story of its origin. As an artisan-crafted piece, variations and imperfections are inherent, adding to its unique charm. No two tables are exactly alike, ensuring each piece is an original work of art.

Given the nature of reclaimed timber, the planks may be somewhat uneven and can develop small cracks, cups, or bows over time due to changes in temperature or humidity in your home environment. However, with proper care - such as a thin layer of beeswax brushed over the top once or twice a year - the beauty of this table can be enhanced and preserved for a lifetime.

Humidity causes mould to grow. Limited airflow and moisture create a microclimate for mould to develop. In some cases, mould will begin growing on furniture, clothing and other contents within the home.
In instances when this occurs, it is not an inherent fault of the furniture, clothing and other contents; rather, humidity or dampness in the air can supply enough moisture for mould growth on any surface. Mould can occur anywhere, and humid climates provide the optimal conditions for the fungi to grow and thrive on any surface.

Every Uniqwa piece has a story…

Our collections are mostly individually hand-made pieces. As most of our products are made from natural materials, texture, colour, and pattern may vary from piece to piece. Reclaimed timbers, naturally weathered materials and off-cuts otherwise discarded are frequently part of Uniqwa design features.

Natural splitting, cracking, and loss of natural oils may occur and form part of the characteristics and beauty of Uniqwa products. These are not viewed as imperfections or faults but as part of timber's natural life and beauty.

We believe the result of using natural materials and hand-crafted elements is a testament to the unique qualities found in materials originating from nature.

As every monitor displays different colour tones, the colour of pictures on our website and social media cannot be taken as a true colour indication of the actual products. Some product tones may appear to vary from catalogue or website images.
