Amanzi Dining Chair is a decorative option for indoors as well as outdoor undercover dining spaces.
Uniqwa in-house designer, Charl van Heerden designed the Amanzi Dining Chair with inspiration from the Chin Tribe of the Mindat area of Myanmar. Specifically from the face tattooing of the Chin women. This ancient ritual performed around the age of 8 was originally started by the Chin parents in an attempt to save their daughters from being taken. It was the law that the royal could marry whoever they wanted whenever they wanted. The face tattooing was an attempt to make them undesirable so as not to be stolen on a whim by a neighbouring prince. Over the years, what was originally intended to make the women undesirable began to have the opposite effect. The full facial tattoos became signs of beauty for every Chin woman of the older generation. There is potential for beauty in everything.....it is the way we see it that makes it beautiful.
With an iron pipe frame in solid white powder coating, white poly rattan in a half-moon webbing pattern and seat cushion in outdoor fabric, the Amanzi Dining Chair offers both unique design and durability.

Every Uniqwa piece has a story…
Our collections are mostly individually hand-made pieces. As most of our products are made from natural materials, elements such as texture, colour, and pattern may vary piece to piece.
Reclaimed timbers, naturally weathered materials and off-cuts otherwise discarded are frequently part of Uniqwa design features.
Natural splitting, cracking, and loss of natural oils may occur and form part of the characteristics and beauty of Uniqwa products. These are not viewed as imperfections or faults, rather part of the natural life and beauty of timber.
We believe the use of natural materials and hand-crafted elements result is a testament to the unique qualities found in materials originating from nature.
As every monitor displays different colour tones, the colour of pictures on our website and social media cannot be taken as a true colour indication of the actual products. Some product's tones may appear to vary from catalogue or website images.

Humidity causes mould to grow. Limited airflow and humidity create a microclimate for mould to develop. In some cases, mould will begin growing on furniture, clothing and other contents within the home.
It is not an inherent fault of the furniture, clothing and other contents; rather humidity or dampness in the air can supply enough moisture for mould growth on any surface.
Mould can occur anywhere, and humid climates provide the optimal conditions for the fungi to grow and thrive on any surface.
