About Uniqwa Collections
Uniqwa Collections is an Australian furniture and homewares brand recognised for its distinctive, design-led collections and commitment to natural materials, craftsmanship and considered living.
This position works across both Uniqwa Collections and our sister retail brand, KULALA Living. Despite our growth, we remain a close-knit and highly collaborative team. We value initiative, accountability, practical problem-solving and people who genuinely care about making a difference. Our culture is built on trust, teamwork and a shared commitment to doing things exceptionally well. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Inventory & Supplier Relations Coordinator to take ownership of one of the most important functions within our business.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for inventory planning, purchasing, supplier relationships and stock performance across both brands.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of inventory strategy while remaining closely involved in the day-to-day operation of the function. You will analyse sales trends, stock movement, supplier lead times and purchasing requirements to ensure inventory is well managed, cash flow is protected and products remain available to support future growth.
You will work closely with sales, warehouse, marketing and finance teams, while managing relationships with local and international suppliers.
This role will suit a commercially minded, highly organised individual who enjoys combining analytical thinking with practical problem solving. You must be equally comfortable reviewing spreadsheets and sales data as you are investigating inventory discrepancies or conducting stock checks within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Commercial Performance
- Analyse sales trends, stock movement and inventory performance across wholesale, retail and ecommerce channels.
- Develop stock forecasts and replenishment strategies across all product categories.
- Recommend purchasing priorities based on demand, stock coverage and supplier lead times.
- Identify stock shortages, excess inventory and slow-moving products, then develop appropriate action plans.
- Support annual clearance planning and inventory reduction initiatives.
- Provide inventory reporting and commercial recommendations to management.
Supplier Relations & Purchasing
- Manage relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, quality standards and commercial outcomes.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders from placement through to delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively address delays, quality concerns or supply risks.
- Coordinate production schedules, shipment planning and stock arrivals.
- Build strong supplier relationships while maintaining clear expectations around quality, timing and communication.
Inventory Control & Operations
- Conduct regular stock reviews and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Reconcile physical stock against inventory records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock adjustments, returns and warehouse movements.
- Maintain accurate product, supplier and purchasing data within business systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, purchasing efficiency and operational processes.
About You
You are analytical, commercially minded and naturally proactive.
You enjoy solving problems, making informed decisions and taking ownership of outcomes. You don’t simply report issues, you investigate them, determine the root cause and work through to resolution.
You are comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and communicating effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike.
You will thrive at Uniqwa if you enjoy being part of a collaborative team environment, take ownership of your work and are motivated by contributing to something bigger than just your individual role.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, merchandise planning or a related field.
- Strong analytical capability and confidence working with inventory and sales data.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders.
- Strong in Microsoft programs.
- Experience with inventory management systems such as Cin7, Shopify, NetSuite, Unleashed or similar platforms.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within furniture, homewares, wholesale, retail or ecommerce businesses.
- Experience working with international suppliers.
- Experience within an importing and distribution environment.
- Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- Passion for furniture, design and product development.
Why Join Uniqwa?
- Take ownership of a critical business function across two growing brands.
- Work directly with senior leadership and influence key business decisions.
- Enjoy genuine autonomy and responsibility.
- Join a passionate, collaborative and creative team.
- Build long-term relationships with suppliers from around the world.
- Make a measurable impact on inventory performance, purchasing outcomes and business growth.
