Themba Design Style

Inspired by Bali.

A holiday to the tropical island of Bali is all about a laid-back lifestyle and a relaxed holiday vibe.

As converts to the magic of Bali, recreating a holiday feeling was what the owners of this home @moving.tides.reno worked on with Tracy-Lee Narain @themba_design_style when they renovated their waterfront Gold Coast home and shoot location.

The use of stone, timber and luxurious gardens where water is an elemental inclusion combines the essence of what this couple wanted for their home.

To achieve this authentic look, natural materials, a muted colour scheme and a large selection of Uniqwa Collections pieces were used.

The timber doors on the front boundary open to a lush tropical garden with sandstone paving which sets the organic tone. Colour is added by the flash and splash of the goldfish who make their home in and around the “floating” sandstones that lead you into the home.

The use of Uniqwa pieces in teak, crochet and natural fibres throughout allows the holiday feel to flow through the home, where guests and family are always welcome.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open out to the terrace, allowing full access to cooling afternoon breezes flowing across the water.

The spacious outdoor entertainment area overlooking the canal is where the couple spend most of their time. To enjoy the open air, the space was furnished with a selection of pieces from our full outdoors collection.

The essence of the home is a transition from indoors to out, where the line is blurred to the point where it virtually disappears.

It whispers serenity, peace, and calm.
