Hand-carved from a teak root with stunning detail and in a highly sanded and charred finish.

The Carved Elephant Wall Art is part of our impressive Shou Sugi Ban range. The charred finish, Shou Sugi Ban, is an ancient Japanese exterior finishing technique, which preserves wood by charring it with fire.

Each Carved Elephant Wall Art has a slightly different look depending on the teak root used and the artist’s inspiration.

Available in two sizes:

  • Small | W 60cm | D 18cm | D 51cm
  • Large | W 100cm | D 38cm | H 82cm

*Please note this is a timber piece, as such a natural 'living' material.  It will respond to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Your items can experience movements and cracks as it adjusts - this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the fibres of a natural product.

Many of our timber ranges are characterful woods with the appearance of naturally occurring knots. Variety of colours, grains and knots found in wood is simply the character of timber and not a defect. No one piece of timber is alike and customers’ should expect a variance in tone, veins, grain pattern, leaching, cracking and knots.

None of the above is viewed as a fault; we embrace these changes as the natural characteristics and beauty of timber furniture.

Uniqwa does not offer refunds, replacements or exchanges arising from the look of the timber as described here. These are particular unique aspects that a customer accepts when purchasing Uniqwa furniture.

Every Uniqwa piece has a story…

Our collections are mostly individually hand-made pieces. As most of our products are made from natural materials, elements such as texture, colour, and pattern may vary piece to piece.

Reclaimed timbers, naturally weathered materials and off-cuts otherwise discarded are frequently part of Uniqwa design features.

Natural splitting, cracking, and loss of natural oils may occur and form part of the characteristics and beauty of Uniqwa products. These are not viewed as imperfections or faults, rather part of the natural life and beauty of timber.

We believe the use of natural materials and hand-crafted elements result is a testament to the unique qualities found in materials originating from nature.

As every monitor displays different colour tones, the colour of pictures on our website and social media cannot be taken as a true colour indication of the actual products. Some product's tones may appear to vary from catalogue or website images.

Humidity causes mould to grow. Limited airflow and humidity create a microclimate for mould to develop. In some cases, mould will begin growing on furniture, clothing and other contents within the home.

It is not an inherent fault of the furniture, clothing and other contents; rather humidity or dampness in the air can supply enough moisture for mould growth on any surface.

Mould can occur anywhere, and humid climates provide the optimal conditions for the fungi to grow and thrive on any surface.
